Below there is a bit more information about SEAI grants: what they cover, who is eligible to apply, and how we can help you meet your energy goals!
WHO ARE SEAI?
SEAI stands for the “Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland”. They work with everyone from the government to homeowners, and their mission is to help make Ireland’s energy use cleaner and more efficient.
Since the organisation was launched in 2011, SEAI has invested €400 million in sustainable energy projects. SEAI understand the importance of energy saving on a domestic scale, and that small changes really do add up.
SEAI is focused on making Ireland’s households more energy efficient, while creating warm, cheap-to-run homes in the process. To do this, they invite Irish householders to apply for home improvement grants, which go towards upgrading energy systems.
WHAT GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE?
SEAI offers a range of grants, including funds towards electric vehicles, local projects and Irish businesses. If you want your home to be more energy efficient, you may be eligible for an SEAI grant.
The home improvement grants that are currently on offer through Mc Hugh Renewables are:
- Solar electricity grant up to €1800
- EV Charging Port Grant up to €300
Mc Hugh Renewables are experts at solar and car charging grant applications. We have installed plenty of new systems and are always on the cutting edge of renewables technology.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR SEAI GRANTS?
All homeowners, including landlords, whose homes were built and occupied before 2021 can apply. This is defined as the date your electricity meter was installed. This is different to other grant measures where the home must be built before 2011.
Anyone with a private driveway can apply for the EV charging port grant.
